PORTUGÁLIA TASCA AMSTERDAM: A FUSION OF TRADITION AND DESIGN

From the outset, this project developed into a close collaboration with the restaurant’s team, creating a strong alignment of vision and approach. This connection allowed the process to be not just technical but also deeply involved in reflecting the identity of the space.

The selected material, Polished Negro Marquina Marble, is known for its deep black background and delicate white veining. This natural stone brings a refined and distinctive character to the restaurant, reinforcing its visual identity.

For the tables, an “Aeroplane Wing” edge finish was chosen, lending a sense of fluidity and elegance to the design. The central element of the space, the bar counter, was carefully crafted using mitred joints, ensuring a continuous and seamless appearance while maintaining a sense of robustness.

The end result achieves a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, creating a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere. Projects like this showcase the quality of materials and craftsmanship, taking Portuguese design and stone artistry to new international horizons.
